GBA employees balance their professional work with a variety of activities that are fun and give back to the community and to their profession. Members of the staff have served as past presidents of professional and technical societies, Chamber of Commerce Chairmen, Scout Masters, youth-sports coaches, church leaders, and leaders of many other civic and professional organizations. Last year some of GBA's generous staff renovated three houses for needy families as part of the Christmas in October program. In addition to GBA's annual golf tournament, employees enjoy golf, bowling, softball, and basketball leagues in the after hours, including Kansas City's Corporate Challenge. Near the end of the summer, employees gather with their families for a company picnic with a variety of activities for kids of all ages. On Halloween, it is not unusual to see groups in costumes. And each winter holiday season GBA adopts several families to make their holidays a little brighter. GBA is truly a productive and fun environment, partially explaining the longevity of many GBA employees.
