GBA volunteers and Habitat for Humanity teamed together recently to help provide a family in need with a new home. About a dozen GBA employees worked throughout the day to install windows, doors, and siding for the house located near 34th and Tracy in Kansas City, Missouri. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, interfaith (non-denominational) ministry dedicated to eliminating impoverished housing. The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity’s efforts is to end poverty housing in Kansas City by building simple, affordable, energy-efficient homes in areas of the inner city that are in a condition of decay and in need of revitalization.
