GBA challengers test their athletic ability and teamwork skills as the Kansas City Corporate Challenge kicks off with a one-mile walk/"block" party. This year's kick-off attracted thousands of participants to the Truman Sports Complex for the annual event, which begins in May and runs through June. Started in 1980, the Olympic-type event allows Kansas City Area corporations to go head-to-head in a variety of sporting events, from basketball and flag football to track, swimming, darts, trapshooting, and much, much more. The events build healthy competition among participants throughout the community. So even with sore muscles and aching backs, everyone is a winner!
