Comprised of market-specific design studios that are defined by the types of clients we serve, GBA’s Buildings group includes MEP, structural and civil engineers, as well as architects and technicians. Each one dedicated to a particular studio, they sit side-by-side, immersing themselves in the focus of each studio, creating a synergy that directly benefits our clients. Changing technology has paved the way for a truly integrated design approach. Our architects embrace the concept of building information modeling (BIM) to help our clients achieve their goals of coordinated, accurate, and detailed design. Utilizing Revit as a design tool allows us to tale our clients from concept to reality.
For centuries, designers have been communicating their ideas on paper, which is only two dimensional. By utilizing new tools like BIM and Revit software, designers have changed not only the way we communicate our ideas, but in essence the way we design.
The value of using BIM is not simply measured as a better drafting tool, but as an enabler of significant process improvement in the design and construction of buildings.
