Downtown Revitalization Study

Wentzville, Missouri

The City of Wentzville has set a goal of creating and implementing a vision for downtown that will incorporate the desires of the residents into the City’s future.

GBA and Development Strategies were recently selected to conduct a revitalization study for the City of Wentzville downtown and surrounding area. Elements of the study approach include:

• Commercial Economic Restructuring
• Creation of Complementary Partnerships
• Streetscape Design
• Downtown Theme/Brand
• Physical Design
• Physical Commercial Design
• Village Center Preliminary Master Concept Plan

The tasks outlined above include reviewing existing study information previously collected by the city, data collection, several one-day workshops, public outreach, and a market analysis to determine future land use and commercial/residential needs, and incorporating this into a master concept plan.

Early illustrations of our plan include the identification of subareas, street network concepts, potential civic features, gateways and focal elements, and potential park/public spaces.
