GBA was recently selected for the master planning for an eight-block area in downtown Overland Park. As part of the Vision Metcalf plan, the project includes:
Development alternatives for the existing downtown Farmers’ Market and Event Area
Mixed-use architectural integration and placement
On-street, surface and parking structure design
Transit connections
Pedestrian linkages
Outdoor dining and plaza spaces
Also as part of this evaluation, GBA’s engineering staff is determining the future utilities, lighting, and streetscape elements.
Improvements implemented in the area will include re-use of materials, conservation of energy, and efforts to “green” the environment.
