Executive Park is a 1,200-acre business and industrial park located adjacent to Interstate 435 south of the Missouri River in a levee-protected flood plain area known as the Northeast Industrial District. The Park houses some 80 companies and has a working population of about 13,000. Developed primarily for medium- and light-industry, Executive Park contains high-visibility commercial property and a lake-oriented office complex consisting of a 320-room high-rise hotel and convention center, four high-finish office buildings, and a major trade center.
In addition to land planning and landscape architectural design services, GBA provided all civil engineering design services for roadways, storm drainage, sanitary sewers, water distribution and rail service. Special considerations included design of a sophisticated storm drainage system; development of a land plan incorporating rail service to industrial sites; and planning of a phased development which would permit maximum cash flow with minimum early investment.
GBA continues to serve as architectural and engineering consultant to Universal Land Development Company on the Executive Park project. The firm has provided architectural and engineering design services to numerous private entities who have purchased property within the Park, including Reynolds Aluminum, Boise Cascade, Keebler, Goodyear, Miller High Life, and General Mills.
