Rapid growth, brought on by large contracts with Compaq and other clients, forced Phelps Technologies to seek additional manufacturing space in a short amount of time. After finding a 108,000-sf facility, the company only had 16 weeks to be ready for production. The company hired GBA to renovate the building, design a new 71,000-sf manufacturing plant, and to design a 15,000-sf, two-story, administrative office addition featuring an 1,800-sf atrium.
