Why design green? The answer is simple. At GBA we recognize the importance of promoting environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places in which to live and work, for us and for future generations. An increasing number of corporate leaders and public officials have committed their companies and their communities to the principles of sustainability. They are adopting green practices and utilizing green technologies in their facilities and in their public works.

To assist owners in achieving their goals of sustainability, GBA formed FocusGreen. FocusGreen represents our commitment to pursuing the principles of sustainability in our designs and in our own business practices.

Our FocusGreen Team is a multi-disciplinary team of LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP) that includes architects, land planners, and landscape architects as well as civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, commissioning specialists, and roof consultants.

We believe that it is our responsibility to inform our clients of green alternatives and to explain their short- and long-term benefits. While it is up to them to make the final decisions, they must first be aware of all of the options. Our goal is to work closely with our clients to incorporate sustainable elements into each and every design.

Even small steps make a difference. That's the goal of FocusGreen and our "everyday green" approach.
