GBA Awarded APWA Public Works Project of the Year for Kansas Ave. Streetscape Project
The Kansas Avenue Streetscape project was recognized as the Kansas City Metro Chapter APWA Public Works Project of the Year in the category of transportation projects less than $5 million. This project is now in the running for a national award.
GBA partnered with the City of Olathe and Miles Excavating to improve Kansas Avenue from Santa Fe Street to the south of Cedar Street, providing decorative streetlights, brick crosswalks, landscaping and a protected two-way bicycle track.
