Building Code Services
Since 1985, GBA has provided assistance to jurisdictions by performing plan reviews, inspections, permitting and other related services for projects of various scopes and sizes throughout Missouri and Kansas. Historically, GBA has assisted in the issuance of thousands of building and trade permits with an average annual construction value of $144MM.
GBA has experience augmenting building code departments in both public and private sectors for primarily commercial, institutional, industrial and educational occupancies. Our specialty relies on special occupancies and code requirements that might be outside of the normal project a jurisdiction might see. GBA tailors services to meet a client’s specific needs and is accustomed to assisting owners, designers, municipalities, counties and universities.
Our Building Code Services team consists of certified plans examiners, certified building inspectors, licensed engineers, licensed architects and experienced administrative staff who are well-trained in the ICC (International Code Council) codes and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and standards. GBA has developed and implemented robust and detailed code assessment, plan review, permitting and inspection processes.
