Enhancing Healthcare Access at Belton Regional Medical Center

Responding to significant growth in Cass County and the hospital’s primary services, HCA invested nearly $40 million to increase the capacity and afford patients the opportunity to receive services close to home. GBA worked with Perkins + Will Architects to nearly double the emergency room square footage as well as expand the inpatient capacity and surgical suites. A 45,000 SF medical office building was also added to the campus. GBA provided civil, survey, traffic, and landscape architecture services for the project.

Design Elements

• Updated and reconfigured front entry.
• Expansion of parking lot to serve the addition.
• Improvements to the Intersection and traffic signal at the hospital access at 58 highway to accommodate improvements.
• Installation of a new detention pond to meet current standards and protect downstream properties from flooding.
• Relocation of existing helipad.
