Project Overview


Indianapolis-based Herff Jones, a leading manufacturer of high school yearbooks and jewelry moved its printing plant to a new 17-acre site in Edwardsville, Kansas. The single-story, 128,000-SF yearbook printing and production plant is home to 240 employees and was the first building at the 75-acre Midpoint Corporate Center.

Needing to expand, they were seeking experienced industrial engineers, architects and designers for a new warehouse and office expansion project. In 2017, the GBA Industrial Team worked with Herff Jones and added a 45,000-SF warehouse, a 6,640-SF mezzanine and a 3,000-SF office space.

Project Elements

 

 

  • Various office spaces, cubicles and storage rooms for administrative area.
  • Multiple Conference rooms, lunchroom, copy area and lobby/reception area for shared common space.
  • Included accommodations for roll paper storage, printing press room, and paper storage under the mezzanine columns for the production area in the design.
  • Outside amenities include a patio area, walking track, employee entrance and 250 parking spaces.
