GBA Receives SMPS Award of Excellence

On July 13, 2023, GBA’s Marketing Team was honored at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Kansas City Chapter’s Marketing and Communications Awards Gala for their submission of the first-ever GBA annual report.

The team was awarded first place in the Internal Communications category and received the Award of Excellence in Internal Communications.

The Award Submission

The GBA Marketing Team was tasked to develop an annual report with relatable and meaningful content that was easily digestible. With only a few months to prepare, staff diligently worked with leadership, finance and human resources to produce a visually appealing product that provided insight and motivational language to highlight accomplishments and focus on the future.

Photography was intentionally selected to represent all the markets that GBA currently serves. Client quotes were incorporated to highlight the client experience. The report ended with a thank you to staff showcasing the company culture and the drive for diversification and innovation. The publication was distributed internally in early 2023.

SMPS Marketing and Communications Awards

The SMPS Marketing and Communications Awards is the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Industries.

This event provided an opportunity for marketing professionals in the Kansas City area to showcase their best marketing practices and spotlight the role of marketing in a successful firm.
