Harry S. Truman Sports Complex

Kansas City, Missouri
The Harry S. Truman Sports Complex, home to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, set a new national benchmark when it opened in 1972, and continues to do so today. With its iconic twin stadiums, the award-winning, 210-acre complex offers a premier experience for sports fans across the region.

GBA played a pivotal role in the initial development of the complex, providing comprehensive planning, design and construction supervision for all site improvements. The scope included grading and storm drainage design, roadway and bridge construction, utility infrastructure and parking accommodations for more than 18,000 vehicles.

A key component of the project was the design of an efficient vehicular circulation system. GBA’s solution helped minimize congestion and reduce entry and exit times for spectators, supporting a smooth and safe game day experience.
